“It’s just a matter of clicking and running a report. It’s very user friendly.”
Long time JOBPOWER customer, Grinder, Taber & Grinder recently added the JP Analytics feature module because it gives them the freedom to manage their construction analytics and view their existing company data easily and quickly so they can free up their time for other tasks.
Grinder, Taber & Grinder, based in Memphis, Tennessee, is a general contractor and construction manager that specializes in commercial construction. The company builds commercial office buildings, religious facilities, educational facilities, warehouses, and more. With more than 100 employees and growing, Managing Principal Justin Grinder says he expects Grinder, Taber & Grinder will continue to grow, and that the company’s backlog will increase.
The company has been a JOBPOWER customer for 30 years and uses the software for all its internal accounting functions. “From a general contractor standpoint, it’s great software for us to use and it’s economical.”
JOBPOWER’s construction reporting is comprehensive, but JP Analytics provides much more flexibility for Grinder, Taber & Grinder to view and understand their accounting data. Controller Keith Stevens says that since integrating JP Analytics, he can build his own reports.
“I can put whatever data I want in its specific column and export that to Excel. Before when I would export it, that would take another 15 minutes probably to format it and get it into a usable format. Where now, it is just a matter of run the report, export it and I’m done.”
JP Analytics also allows the creation of very specialized reporting. Managing Principal Justin Grinder, who owns the company with his brother and father, needed a way to simplify the company’s profit reporting. JOBPOWER created the report for him and added it to JP Analytics. “We have grown to the point where it used to take us one or two or three days to create a report that showed our project projection. At the end of the year, it was taking me a week to go through and calculate it. Now I can pull it up in a matter of seconds. That’s a great added benefit.”
For Justin Grinder, JP Analytics is an enormous timesaver. “It’s a whole lot better to be in one program that pulls from its own data, and you’re not spending the extra time to process it and put it into Excel.” Grinder can run the report, export it, and it’s done.
As JOBPOWER adds new functionality to JP Analytics, including the payroll module, Controller Stevens says the accountants on his team will also be using JP Analytics to simplify their reporting needs.
